Cibap year one

2017 - 2018

My first year at Cibap was split into two parts: first exploring everything the school had to offer: from motion design, interaction and creative tech to woodwork, fabrics, styling, interior design, marketing and event/set design. After that half-year of discovering all directions, I chose the media design route with a focus on Creative Technology. It was the year where I realized how much I enjoy turning ideas into something real and experimenting without fear.

INTERNSHIP - GAME CHANGER

2017 – Cibap

Game Changer was the third project in my first year. Together with my group I created a board game called Moneymal. The goal was to design the game and set up a fictional Kickstarter campaign for it. It was the first time I had to combine concept thinking with design and promotion, which made it a surprisingly fun challenge.

PROJECT - BEELDBOX

2017 – Cibap

For the last project of year one, my team and I made a stand for the BeeldBox Festival. Our letter was “U”, which led us to the Horror-themed concept Uitgemoorde Uil (“Murdered Owl”).

My job was to create a short teaser video that played on repeat inside a viewing box we built ourselves. It grabbed quite a bit of attention during the festival, and it’s still funny for me to look back at.
